BIOGRAPHY

JOHN WILSON started his professional career singing with the DODGERS in the late 70's - a band made up of BADFINGER members. They recorded 2 singles for ISLAND and were signed by POLYDOR for 2 albums.

He was also lead vocalist and songwriter with the AVERAGE WHITE BAND in the 80's and has written songs for members of the ROLLING STONES, STATUS QUO and several for Sir CLIFF RICHARD.

 

 

Recognised as one of the best singers in the business, JOHN has been a hired gun for many top acts. JOHN provided vocals for films such as EVITA, JOHN AND YOKO – A LOVE STORY and ECHO PARK starring TOM HULCE. In the late 90's he recorded the album “DADDY SANG THE BLUES” for media giants CARLTON COMM.

The last few years have seen JOHN touring the world with the UPBEAT BEATLES - he plays PAUL!
JOHN is now performing selected dates with a band whose line up consists of some of the finest musicians in the country.

JOHN has four children and one day hopes to buy a TV!
